APPOINTMENT OF A COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

GDB ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF A COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

TUESDAY JULY 04TH, 2017, ST. GEORGE’S:- The Grenada Development Bank (GDB) has appointed Mrs. Chriselle Benjamin-Jerome as Communications Officer of its operations, as of May 29, 2017.

Mrs. Benjamin-Jerome has assumed responsibility for all activities related to Public Relations, Marketing and Media Management for the GDB, bringing to this portfolio more than five (5) years of experience, previously serving as the Communications Assistant at the National Water and Sewerage Authority.

She is a graduate of Nanjing Normal University in China, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

GDB’s General Manager, Mr. Mervyn Lord, noted the significance of the appointment as the Bank has not had this position filled in over a decade.

“Hiring a Communications Officer is part of our overall strategic development plan, but even more importantly one of our Priority Objectives for 2017. We believe this to be one of the fundamental steps in realizing our mission statement – to be the leading provider of development financing in the tri-island state,” he said.

July 2017, marks 52 years since the GDB has been providing financial and technical assistance towards the economic development of Grenada in the areas of Agriculture, Fisheries, Tourism, Industry, Housing, Small Business and Human Resource Development.
