MONDAY NOVEMBER 20TH, 2017, ST. GEORGE’S:- This year, the Grenada Development Bank (GDB) was welcomed on board as a first time sponsor for the Hillsborough Secondary School’s 12th Annual Award Ceremony contributing to the ‘Honoured Students Awards’ category which recognised distinguished performers in this year’s CXC Examinations.
GDB’s Communications Officer, Chriselle Benjamin-Jerome was present at the ceremony held at Hotel Laurena on the Sister Isle of Carriacou.
Mrs. Benjamin-Jerome intimated that forging a long lasting relationship with residents on the Sister Isles is important to the Grenada Development Bank.
‘What better way to sow a seed that is expected to flourish than through the future generation? The moment that the students were rewarded for their hard work will forever be etched in their memories. This partnership serves as the birthplace for what is expected to be a long lasting and rewarding relationship.’
The Hillsborough Secondary School for 12 years has been giving teeth to the powerful quote from Bob Anderson which says, ‘there is nothing so rewarding as to make people realize they are worthwhile in this world,’ by gratifying their students who display excellence in academics and extra-curricular activities.
Awardees in the ‘Honoured Students Awards’ category totalled eleven (11), cream of the crop being Top State Performer Shenizah Stiell who secured 16 CXC passes.
